Counseling approach
Each student will be responsible for completing a 5 to 7 page research paper ( title page, work cited, and abstract are not included in the page count) research paper using APA format researching and responding to one of the following counseling approaches:
Reality Therapy
Psychodynamic Therapy
Cognitive Therapy
Behavioral Therapy
Person Centered Therapy
Gestalt Therapy
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy
Transactional Analysis
Within the body of the paper address the counseling approach making sure to cover its view of human nature, specific techniques, and role of the client and counselor. This section should be approximately 3-4 pages.
The second section of the paper is reserved for your response to the counseling approach. What did you think of the approach? What population is it best suited for? Do you think it is effective?
What does the research say on its effectiveness? Do you feel that it is appropriate for treating addictive disorders? Why or why not?
This section should be 2-3 pages.
