In this first deliverable you are asked to create a project schedule (network diagram), with the following characteristics:
Minimum of 30 tasks, with correct dependencies of predecessors and successors, and a depth of at least 3 WBS levels.
Divided into different phases, including summary tasks, milestones like project start, project finish and project phases finish.
The WBS code field must be used correctly.
Realistic calendar with holidays, correct timetable, etc.
It does not have to include resources (it is then a network diagram).
The specific topic for the project is free, preferably oriented to your professional environment for better applicability.
As a final activity for this workshop you are requested to continue with the work started with Activity 1. Based on that network diagram, you will have to:
Generate a “resources sheet” with the appropriate resources for your tasks (human resources, materials, cost), and assign them properly and avoiding overallocations.
Set the project planning with a baseline in terms of time and cost.
Simulate the project progress: we can assume we are in the middle of the project, and most of the tasks are on-track, but a few of them have shifted in time and/or cost.
Generate an adequate report, to show the differences between baseline and reality.
