1. Select one artwork that you find compelling from smarthistory.org (https://smarthistory.org)/textbook. You may choose any piece from any section, choose a piece that has enough stuff going on for you to easily describe.
2. Using either Microsoft Word or Google Docs:
Write a formal analysis of your chosen artwork.
Having written your formal analysis, do you now have any questions about the piece? Did you learn something interesting? Did you come up with your own interpretation of the piece?
Make sure your analysis is in your own words. Be clear and write in complete sentences, but let your unique voice shine through.
Assignment needs to be 500-700 words, double spaced, 12 point font.
