For week seven collaborate discussion it is essential for the master prepared nurse’s role is to be part of the change of the facility. The different leadership styles that can be identified as micro, macro and meso is key in the system that outlines the leader’s ability to utilize their expertise, association and trouble shooting issues or concerns. The capability of the leader would make a positive impact on the outcome or success of the changes that are implemented. Also, the leader will need to ensure the team members that would ensure to the success of the changes that would aide in the success or the facility.

The micro level in leadership is the autonomy of the leader with being able to utilize knowledge, beliefs, and ownership of projects for the growth of the facility. And the macro level of leadership can get other to be on board with changes while looking at socioeconomics. And last, the meso level in leadership allows for the leader to share the responsibility with others so they could be able to use their autonomy while the leader is able to give oversight and validate changes that have been implemented.

A supportive factor that is identified with the meso level of leadership is being able to share responsibilities of other members of the interdisciplinary team members. The leader would need to be able to give the guidance other the staff members so they would be able to be apart of the process of the new changes or implemented process. The leader must ensure to validate the process is being utilized and moving forward as to what has been discussed with the interdisciplinary team members. Also, if the leader is not validating the process is being followed the program or what was implemented would not be able to succeed. Often, the leader would need to validate, communicate, and advise the process with the collaboration of the interdisciplinary team members for the growth and development of the facility. According to Sawatzky, it is critical to be able to identify different leadership styles to ensure correct interpretation and communication which would help in the decision making of the interdisciplinary team members (Sawatzky 2021).

In conclusion, I reflect on how the different leadership styles have influence me while completing this assignment. This assignment has contributed to my growth as a Master prepared nurse educator, and I would be to be able to empower staff to be able to succeed in their career goals while at my facility.
