Part 1. Choose one of the photographers listed below who were hired by the Farm Security Administration (FSA) during the Great Depression and The New Deal. Choose a photograph of theirs that intrigues you. Post it to the DB. Include the artist’s name, date of photograph, title (if available) and where it was taken. What was the purpose of the FSA? Explain what the artist was trying to communicate. Indicate research to support statements and claims.

Part 2. Inspired by the photographer of your choice, take a photo of your own that represents issues in the news today. Post it to the DB window. Include a title and what you are trying to communicate and what social concerns it reflects.
