ASSESSMENT TASK
Make a presentation using PPT (approx.10 ppt slides) entitled ‘Training and Development needs for an HR officer’. Apply academic models, methods, and theories to develop an understanding of HR officer role. PPT slides should have both visualappeal and robust in content.

TASK DESCRIPTION
Scenario: After graduating from your BA Leadership and Management course, You are appointed as a trainee Human Resource (HR) Officer within the Human Resources Department of either a) a large organisation you nominate, or b) the company where you are currently working. The organisation must be approved by your lecturer in week 2/3.

In order to develop an understanding of your role as an HR Officer, your line manager has requested that you;
1) Determine appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSB) that are required by HR professionals across the departments. Refer to Appendix A for an overview of HR Officer responsibilities.

2) Conduct a personal skills audit for yourself including a SWOT analysis (with the use of Appendix B & C) and identify training and development needs considering the knowledge, skills and behaviours you identified in task (1)

3) Critically assess the potential benefits to the organisation and individual of developing you as an HR officer through effective training and development.
