This YouTube video on Sriracha sauce is definitely characterized as negative. This video highlights the foul smell that could potentially shut the factory down, and almost every word in that sentence has a negative connotation. A solution the factory thought up was to install active carbon filters, but they were initially ineffective. This smell irritated throats and lungs, and they even reported children being affected by this factory, receiving nosebleeds. In order to fix this terrifying problem, they need to completely eliminate the toxins that are being released from the factory. There needs to be new filters, better medical-grade quality masks to be worn by the workers, and an apparent thrive to make things better by the company. I personally believe that compensation is in order for the people, as well as their children, medically effected by their factory’s mishap. Safety protocols need to be more enforced, with posters on the factory walls stating the proper ways to handle any and every situation possible in their factory.
A positive externality that I can share from my life has to be all of the knowledge I have gained from courses I have taken. There have been numerous courses I have taken before and during college that have had such a positive impact on me that I will always remember. These courses have helped me gain more knowledge of the real world, especially when I am presented with problems in my day to day life. I am excited to be taking even more courses that will have this impact on me. I am hoping that these skills I have learned will stick with me for much longer, if not forever, since they already have for my duration of college.
