Publicly Traded Company SCM – Writer’s Choice
Part 1: Paper
Prepare at 1500-word minimum APA-formatted paper (excluding title page and references), that addresses the following:
Select a publicly traded company of personal interest and explain in detail the key points related to supply chain management you learned from your individual research assignments, the TED talks, and the class discussion boards. Note – the company selected needs to be different from the team project and should represent your industry sector of interest: service or production/manufacturing.
In the introduction section, describe the selected company to include the industry, the products and/or services. Also, explain why you selected this company to research.
In the next section, explain the company’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) process.
In the next section, describe the company’s commitment to being ethical and how its commitment to sustainability.
In the next section, describe the tools and techniques the company uses (Six Sigma, DMAICs, statistical tools) to maintain and improve its SCM.
In the next section, describe how the company maintains the customer and vendor national and international partnerships.
In the next section, explain the company’s SCM obstacles, risks, and security concerns.
In the conclusion section, summarize your learnings and provide any SCM improvement recommendations for the company’s CEO.
Part 2: Presentation
Using your sckans Zoom Pro account* and presentation software of your choice, prepare a 15-minute narrated video presentation that provides an abridged version of your paper.
That is, the presentation would include an introduction, highlights from the research, and a conclusion that summarizes what you learned.
Likewise, any pictures or images used must be appropriate, relevant, and explained in your narration. Comprehensive speaker notes must be included, whether embedded in the presentation software (as with PowerPoint) or as a separate Word document.
Use the designated link in Unit 6 to submit your presentation. You should submit the link to your Zoom recording along with your presentation file (PowerPoint, Prezi, Keynote, etc.). If your speaker notes are saved on a separate Word document, submit those as well.
