Anthro Analysis Paper #2 – (15 points) In this paper you will analyze the “violence continuum” as presented by Seth Holmes (see”Holmes” readings on migration and farm workers).
Your paper should have a very brief introduction and conclusion, and three sub-headings: (1) “Structural Violence,” (2) “Symbolic Violence,” and (3) “Everyday Violence” (or “direct political violence” for the third sub-heading if you prefer).
Clearly define these different forms of violence in each section/sub-heading of your paper and give two appropriate examples of each type of violence—one example should come from the research of Seth Holmes and the second example should come from one of the assigned videos for Week 6.
When you present examples of these different forms of violence, make sure you explain exactly why the example you provided is indeed an appropriate example—what characteristics of the violence make it an instance of “structural violence,” for example.
