Nursing interventions to prevent falls in hospitalized older adults’ patients
One purpose of the research is to serve as evidence to address nursing problems that are important for nursing practice. For this assignment, you will choose a sub-topic of your group poster presentation topic and focus on a problem/issue that interests you.
You will:
1. identify the problem/issue (what is wrong with the current situation), g., increasing prevalence of a health condition and insufficient evidence for a solution;
1. describe the background (what is the nature of the problem, or the context of the situation, that readers need to understand);
2. explain the scope of the problem (how big is the problem and how many people are affected);
3. describe the consequences of the problem (economic implications; the impact of the problem on population health; what will happen if we don’t address the issue);
4. identify the knowledge gaps (what information about the problem is lacking)
5. describe the proposed solution (how will the new study contribute to the solution of the problem) and;
6. indicate a research question that arises for you as you consider the literature related to the problem/issue and its significance (questions end in a question mark).
The references for this paper can come from professional journals and reputable government websites (such as the Center for Disease Control website, National Institutes of Health).
All references do not need to be research papers. The paper needs to be presented in the format of a professional article, including a title page, margins, font size, and grammar as described in the 7th edition of the APA Manual of Style. The maximum length of this paper must be two pages (excluding the title and reference pages).
