Independent Novel Study

Write a one-page paper on your author; include information about the novel’s reception by the public. You must use a minimum of two sources.
Critical Analysis: As you are reading, you should be looking for possible critical analysis topics. Some analysis areas include character development, conflict, imagery, plot development, symbolism, setting, or theme. In this approach, you will discuss events that have occurred that you believe could help you develop your novel analysis.
Write a 2-3 page (minimum) essay on a topic of your choice that explores a judgment you make about the text.
Some possible areas for analysis include a main character’s development throughout the novel related to other events, a recurring theme or metaphor, and ambiguous occurrences that you can make judgments about

You may not choose a book you have already read. There are too many good novels out there. Try something new. Choose from the Forsyth County approved novel list.
