Module 2 Assignment Summary
Module 2 addresses the role of the professional nurse as an educator and a change agent.
The assignments require you to interview someone in your area of practice to identify an educational/change need and then develop a proposal (and an outline) for the audience in your practice area.
The set of two assignments address a proposed clinical educational and/or change need and your role in meeting that need.
It is not required that you deliver a presentation or produce an actual teaching aid, but this module should set you up for such a success.
Assignment is the description of the teaching methodology/educational material required to address the need.
Setting: hospital night shift, stable unit. patients who mainly come for medical management and tests/imaging/procedures. (no acute care, no emergency care, no icu)
Issues in the unit can be short staffing, low supply, nurse burnout, nurse-patient ratio (8 patients to one nurse), problems with handoffs and communication, etc.
References must include websites at the end of each reference. references should be within 10 years
