Is Technology Demoralizing Us?
This is a review and somewhat of a critique of an article Sigal Samuel’s “It’s Hard to Be a Moral Person. Technology Is Making It Harder… There must be a stance based on the info in the article.
1) Write directly about the topic. Biographical details, etc. are generally not on topic. Formulate a thesis on the subject matter.
2) Focus on providing the rationale that the author offers.
3) Use in-text citation if you have a quote. Normally, that’s just the authors name and the page number in the book, e.g. (Singer, 222).
4) As far as style goes, orient yourself on the writing of the book. This is an academic essay. Write in academic style.
5) Be very careful not to use the same words as your sources. If you have a quote, put it in quotation marks. But don’t quote too much.
