The purpose of the paper is to gain a deeper understanding of the strategic HRM. Using relevant HRM theoretical frameworks, initially, describe the core HR activities as implemented in the organization you have chosen and evaluate their effectiveness.

The organization of your choice could be the company you work for or any other company you may find relevant information.  There should be a brief introduction of the company.

You should also examine whether the management of the human resources is aligned with the overall corporate objectives or not and discuss if HR activities are inter-linked. At the end of your analysis, you should provide suggestions for improvement based on relevant theory.

Exceptional work would also include an in-depth analysis of the dynamic trends shaping the 21st century economy and workplace.  The purpose is to gain a deeper understanding of the HR management challenges the chosen organization faces as a result of these trends.  You are to conduct an in-depth analysis of one of the 21st century trends, i.e. technological, economic, global, demographic, labor force, etc., explain the business and HR management challenges your organization faces as a result of this trend, identify a current HRM solution(s) (practice or program) implemented in response to these challenges, and explain the impact on employee engagement and strategic outcomes.
