In accordance with the essential pedagogy required of a UCOR course at this 3800 level, all students will practice translating and applying their knowledge to an appropriate public or civic context.
All students will be asked to practice engagement in some kind of advocacy related to medicinal cannabis.
The assignment has two parts.
It is to include a letter to a person that has the authority to promote change, and a supporting paper that includes information on the unlimited potential for utilizing cannabis as medicine as it relates to supporting environmental justice and sustainability.
The letter should be written to a person or entity of power at the state or federal level. Examples include presentation of a compelling argument to the governor, the Attorney General, an advocacy web page, etc.
