This assignment simply requires that you research a cutting-edge topic in Marketing and present your findings. What is being studied? What do we want to know? What are researchers discussing? What is a hot topic in the field? What is an issue you may be working on in your career?
1. First, take a look at topics from the course readings and use the internet to find business publications with topics in this field like Ad Age, Forbes, Adweek, PRDaily, and Business Insider for example.
2. Identify articles/sources of information that can help you to learn about your topic. Go to the library and research your topic. Or access relevant periodicals through Library searches on the Internet.
3. Prepare a short paper, no more than 2-3 pages, discussing your findings. It should contain the following items:
1. Why is this topic important in Marketing?
2. A short overview of each article that outlines why the topic is important, what each article is about, and its implications.
3. Include a link to the article you believe would be the most valuable for the class to read.
4. Take inventory of the social media (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) sentiment of the company/ topic you chose.
5. A short section including your thoughts and conclusions.
