Assignment brief
The assignment will help you to summarise your learning needs and help you to consider what evidence-based practice means for your future profession. This assignment is divided into 3 main sections:
1. Section 1: Identify and describe your learning needs (think about how you will gain
the subject specific knowledge, skills, attitudes and values during your course).
Ensure you make reference to your PDP (which must be included as an appendix) and
describe how you are going to engage with UoP people and services (300 words
approximately).
2. Section 2: Summarise the range and forms of evidence that might inform the care a
person receives. Ensure you illustrate what evidence based practice means, and looks
like, for members of your future profession. (500 words approximately)
3. Select an individual from the subject-specific case study you have been given. Outline the role of your future profession, and the role of other health / social care
professionals, in supporting this person and their family. Ensure that you consider a
minimum of your own profession and one other profession. (700 words
approximately).
