Workshop Preparation: Compile a working bibliography for your project. Bibliography Check
Final Prompt: Create a (10-12 page) Research Design Paper, in which you present your research question and discuss your plans for collecting and analyzing the data you’ll need to answer it.
Your paper should show an understanding of relevant scholarly literatures (including a literature review with approximately 20 scholarly sources), illuminate the intellectual significance of the project in relation to previous scholarship, specify and develop an appropriate methodological design, and include attention to ethical issues.
Papers must include a title page and bibliography, which do not count toward the paper’s length. Anthropological projects should use Chicago author-date style; psychological projects should use APA style.
For the draft, complete a full-length (10-12 page) draft of your paper. With your paper, include a bibliography.

Oral Presentation (this is due April 22nd)
Create and deliver a 10-minute oral presentation, adapting your research design paper to a talk meant for an audience of listeners (as opposed to readers). Your presentation should clearly convey your research question, your lit review, your plans to collect and analyze data (sampling, instrumentation, etc.), and ethical considerations; it should incorporate visual and/or audio aids (e.g. Power Point). The presentation will be followed by 5 minutes of questions and critique. Be sure to practice and to limit your talk to ten minutes. This assignment prepares you to present work orally and is designed to help you troubleshoot your work in advance of the final paper.
