Medium term cross-curricular plan for the purpose of teaching a reception class on the theme of winter linking together the subjects, Geography, Art and Design and PE.

Reception, Early years foundation curriculum.

Rationale (each subject 600 words)
Provide a written understanding of how pedagogies used underpin the class theory and practice. you must include references to key texts/authors/journals etc.

Use 1 pedagogical approach for each subject (check presentation)

Geography: link enquiry-based learning – link to John Dewey theory (constructivist)

Art and Design: link modelling – link to Albert Bandura’s theory

PE: link active learning (PE games) – link to vygotsky’s theory
