Imagine you are an employee at a local health department, and you need to explain a public health issue to your city council in a concise fashion.
Instructions
Using statistical data from the CDC Wonder database, select a health problem that exists in your community. Write a 1-2 paragraph memo explaining the health problem that includes the following:
Description of the health issue
Explanation of the severity of the issue (use statistical data)
Why the health issue should be addressed
Who is most affected by the health issue
What consequences may occur if the health issue is not addressed
Use a memo format. Be sure to cite and include references for your resources.
