Some complex projects have fared out better than others in making it through, yet there are many multi-million dollar projects that have failed (Why Large Complex Projects Often Fail – Lead Change, 2011). The bigger the project the bigger the pyramid structure and problems that might be caused (Sanjay Zalavadia, 2015).
In a 2002 case study analysis, almost one in four projects in UK were abandoned at the feasibility stage and of the project, one in three experienced schedule and budget overrun issues (A study in project failure, 2008).
