Ultimately, the research study will involve the collection of data using both qualitative
and quantitative methodologies namely questionnaires and utilization of surveys respectively.
The use of questionnaires will involve approximately 5 active journalists with social media platforms and examples of questions to be asked will include, how many times do you post news content in a day?
Do you own personal websites where you can create traffic for your audience to have access to the latest news?
How do you clarify if the news is fake or has facts? And what are some of the challenges you face as a social media journalist?
Alternatively, the use of questionnaires is significant because it is efficient, cheap and a researcher can collect a diverse range of information and data (Blackstone, 2018).
On the other hand, the administration of the survey will also contribute to a critical analysis of the research study by using peer-reviewed articles, journals, and websites to compare different statistical information on how social media has impacted the journalism industry.
Also, survey as a quantitative research strategy is productive because it provides more room for comparison of several statistics from studies hence collecting accurate information from intelligent scholars
