Team Debate: Your goal for this assignment is to explain how your assigned dance form is the“best” representation of its respective culture.
Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:
Analyze and discuss the cultural importance of Bharatanatayam in India.
Analyze and discuss the cultural importance of Ballet Folklorico in Mexico.
Identify and discuss a cultural or artistic event that that is relevant to your interests.
Your goal for this assignment is to explain how your assigned dance form is the “best”
representation of its respective culture.
You may interpret this quite broadly, but try to make a convincing argument that is supported by information you have learned in this course, not just your opinion.
You may expand on a point that one of your teammates has posted or make a new point in support of your dance form. You will then post a reply/rebuttal to at least one argument made on the other team’s discussion section.
Remember, this is a friendly debate so remain civil and respectful while staying focused on advocating for your dance form rather than criticizing the other team’s.
