You have learned that there are different levels of use that people switch to in different social situations. For this project, you will pay particular attention to the speech patterns of yourself and others.

Here is your goal for this assignment:

Describe your speech patterns in different social situations

Examine your own speech and writing carefully for a day or two. Notice what level of speech you use with your family, friends, boss, pastor, co-workers, teachers, and so on. If you need to, review the levels of speech found in the lesson “Semantics.”

Then write a paper (at least 250 words) describing the different levels of usage and meaning that you use in a day.
