Choose one of the questions listed below for your Research Paper topic. The
length of your essay should be approximately 4-5 pages. The first sentence of your
essay should give the title of the short story (in quotation marks) and the author’s
name and make an interesting comment.
Use MLA format for all areas of your essay and give close attention to the rules about parenthetical documentation and the Works Cited page. Use a minimum of 3-4 scholarly sources such as books,periodicals, and reference works. Your Norton literature book will be your primary source. Do not use ordinary encyclopedias and study guides as sources. Use only scholarly Internet sources that have the necessary documentation information such as publication facts and page numbers.
Your essay should have several citations from each secondary source and also quoted examples from the story you are analyzing. You are required to use information from scholarly sources found at the Fort Walton Beach campus or the Niceville campus. See the example paper on page 1120 in your Norton book.
