Developmental Theory Paper
The paper is required to be at least 1100 words long (4-5 pages).
The purpose of this research paper is to compare and contrast two theories on child development, e.g. Piaget, Vygotsky, Erikson, Bandura, Skinner, Montessori, Reggio-Emilia, Dewey, etc.
Your introductory paragraph should tell who the two theorists are who you’ll compare and contrast. Introduce each of them biographically.
The next section of the paper should tell us about their theories, first one and then the other.
There should be a comparison section telling us how the theories are similar.
You should include a contrasting section telling us how the theories are different.
The next section should discuss how we see the theory implemented in educational programs through materials, learning activities, routines, environments, etc.
Close with a summary paragraph summarizing, briefly, the main points you’ve covered.
Tell which theorist comes close to your beliefs about children and learning.
The paper should be well organized, and logically move from one point to the next with effective transitions.
No errors in grammar or spelling that distract the reader from the content.
APA format is followed throughout the paper, and in the reference page. At least three sources must be cited.
