The Iraq War: Peace & Conflict Deep Dive
There isn’t much to go off of, but just be able to relate the material to surface level peace & conflict if possible. The number of sources isn’t a necessity to follow. If you need more to fill it all out, do so. If less, same thing. Here are some guidelines the teacher gave me:
Be sure to put the situation in historical context, including the prior US involvement.
Try to apply various causes of war theories to explain the war’s origin and continuation (do a good literature review). Include “democratic peace theory.”
Make sure to consider various viewpoints, including the roles of individuals, bureaucratic politics, regional and global factors.
Be sure to organize well and have subtitles for sections of the paper.
