Problem Identification/Research Question
Research question: What are the risk factors and plights for homelessness among US veterans?
Homelessness is a condition of lacking “regular, fixed, and sufficient in nighttime residence,” it entails shifting to different types of accommodation, homeless shelters, and places not suitable for human habitation.
After thorough research about the topic, three major risk issues for homelessness were evident and shared in all articles. They include low income, severe mental illness, and substance abuse. However, two significant questions arose:
1. Do three risk factors identified in articles directly relate to homelessness among US veterans?
2. Apart from the three risks identified, are there any other factors that put the US veterans at risk of homelessness?
