1) Select one of your three topics, or take the topic that you are intrested to select.
2) If your topic is broad, work toward narrowing it down. For example, ;you support animal rights is broad; against scientific experimentation on animals" or All animal shelters should be no-kill shelters" is narrower.
3) Take the narrower topic and do internet research to get a feel for current events and discussion in this area.
4) Find some happenings and expert voices on a different side of the issue.

5) Develop a list of at least three "paths into" your topic.
