First read Chapters 1 and 2 in Texas Documentation Handbook. Using the Texas Documentation Handbook, create a memo of discussion after reading Chapters

Pages 2-13,      2-14, and 2-17 provide examples of well written specific incident memoranda. Pay attention to details and the notes on the left of the memorandum page.Include those notes indicating where your different topics are located in the memo. Additionally, you should include a place for administrator signature and date.

Choice and relevancy: You might ask your principal or supervisor to describe a situation  of which you wouldn’t have knowledge so you could practice writing a memo to an unknown person. The topic to discuss is your choice regarding school issues or organizational issues, depending on where you work currently.

Calling parents if students are failing
If you have students that are failing your classes, you will need to make two-way contact with their parents. Make sure your document your calls and devise a support plan for each student that is failing.
