Section 1 :focus on one disadvantaged group in the UK. You should be able to evidence why this group is considered disadvantaged by describing the issues facing this group and relating these to the impact on health and wellbeing.
Any barriers to care should be identified and suggestions made as to how these barriers could be overcome. Appropriate literature should be used to support your writing.
Section 2: Section two should include a definition of the third sector in the UK. You should demonstrate your understanding of the relationship between the third sector, NHS and social care in the UK.
This section must relate to the disadvantaged group described in section 1 and must evaluate rather than just describe the third sector in the UK. Examples of third sector organisations (which may include your placement organisation) and literature should be used to support your evaluation.
Section3:The second part of this section asks you to reflect on your own learning and placement experience. You should include details of your own personal experience on placement and what you have gained from this.
Credit will be given for evidence of deep reflection. This involves not only describing your experience but analysing this (including reference to the literature if appropriate) and considering the implications for this on your future study or practice as a doctor
