Mental disorder is a common condition among the UK population, statistics having hiked by the occurrence of the covid-19 pandemic that has send a large population into a distress.
In 2019, an estimated one in four adults, aged between 20 and 34 years, in UK experience a certain mental disorder every week. 2% of them receive medical services.
The deficit is as a result of either the individual not aware of the condition, the individual’s kins hiding the individual, stigma, service supply not meeting the demand or lack of funds to cater for the services. This study, through community participatory approach seeks to contribute towards effective mental health treatment.
The overall objective of this study is to determine strategies adaptable at community level, for promoting treatment and care of mental health conditions.
