Few countries possess these kinds of weapons. These nations include United States, Russia, United Kingdom, France, China, Iran, India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel .
Most of these countries are highly developed and technologically advanced. Although nations have put in place regulations to govern and regulate the possession and use of the nuclear weapons, there are still countries producing the weapons. This paper reviews the various reasons that lead to the possession of the nuclear weapons by countries.
