Before proceeding to evaluate arguments on whether an organization can or should manage culture, it is important to define the concept of culture and its major constitutes. Actually, there is no specific consensus on how culture should be defined.
Definitions are bound on a researcher’s point of view of the world in general and the methodology used in the research. However, defining culture is necessary in order to distinguish it from other similar organizational concepts. In this paper, culture is defined as the values, beliefs, norms and customs that an individual or a group holds in common with other members of a social units or group.
