Literature Review on top management and strategic leadership
According to Carmeli and Tishler (2011), effective leadership management is attributed to discipline and skill.
These authors argue that “effective team learning can lead to a relatively permanent alteration in the collective level of knowledge and skill produced by the shared experience of the team members” (Carmeli & Tishler, 2011, p. 33).
Resistance to change by the employees can be an issue to top management team because there may be different underlying aspects that could prevent employees from approaching this process of leadership.
For instance, teams learn when their members are involved in trial and error and joint problem-solving activities. According to the behavioral theory, employees require motivation regarding rewards so that they perform at their best.
It is imperative to note that top management teams have an essential role tp play towards fostering motivating among employees.
