The pivotal roles that competency plays in facilitating employee success as well as firms at large has caught the attention of practitioners who have in turn resorted into introducing the development of competency as being part and parcel of the firms’ HR practices (Csaba , Christopher & John, 2003).
However, it is surprisingly that such a great interest has not directly led into the academic world, thereby leaving a wide gap between theory and actual practice.
