This unit we will be exploring the idea of stockholder vs. stakeholder and its subsequent effect on internal and external stakeholders.
A stockholder is a shareholder that has a vested financial interest in the company.
A stakeholder has a much broader application and is anyone with an interest or concern in the business. An internal stakeholder references people within an organization. An external stakeholder references people that our outside an organization but are affected by the organizations performance.
You will do a deeper dive into stockholder vs. stakeholder and internal and external stakeholders investigating how both entities work together towards achieving goals.
