Describe a Multi-cultural Perspective into Jerome Frank’s Ideas
Jerome Frank was an American psychiatrist and research psychologist who was a professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins
University Medical School. In the video, Dr. Philip Zimbardo encourages us to be better consumers of would-be-facts and theories, research and personalities, value, and talents. He discusses how many of our beliefs do we accept without question.
That this believes forms a subjective reality that influences how we perceive the world, affect our everyday plans, associates, and health choices. He points out that our culture, experiences, and motivations influence our beliefs.
He, therefore, suggests we learn critically to avoid believing the unproven and the unexplained.
