Create a poster or infographic containing a minimum of 800 words in which you examine the concept of emotions in the everyday lives of children in either elementary, middle, or high school.
This assignment could be delivered in a classroom setting to educate young students about the relationship between emotions and motivation. Keep in mind that this is to be a teaching poster, and the examples should relate to your student population, not adults.
(The poster can be created on a template on PPT)
Address the following in your poster or infographic:
Define emotion.
Provide examples of the basic and complex emotions children in these grade levels may experience, as well as the role they play in human life and development. Include an analysis of the biological and cognitive factors and how they work in terms of emotions.
Explain how appraisal affects emotion.
Explain the relationship between motivation, emotion, and behavior by evaluating the effectiveness of at least one theory on emotion in explaining these behaviors.
Include at least 2 references from scholarly, peer-reviewed sources. Note that the text should be used as a cited and referenced source in your poster, but it does not count as one of your peer-reviewed sources. There are journal articles in the electronic reserve readings that would work well, and are considered peer-reviewed.
Format all citations and references according to APA guidelines.
