Main body: You will be expected to complete a report of the developments in the understanding of one disease of your choice. Describe the features (symptoms, signs) and explain the clinical consequence (complications) in relation to the immune system. Analyse the subsequent immunological mechanisms and outline the ways in which immunological disorders are investigated and treated.
Summary: Discuss the material written in your essay, give an account of the role of immune system in maintaining health. Critical assessment of the contribution of(new) strategies for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease with particular reference to the impact of immunology on these elements.
