Peacekeeping and Stability Operations in Africa
Peacekeeping is one of the most promiscuous words in the world of international relations. With the growing number of instability cases in Africa, the need for peacekeeping and stability operations have become a major focus United Nations organization (U.N.). The U.N. is the official organization that is tasked with the responsibility of restoring stability in Africa. In 2015, about 100,000 UN armed forces were positioned in Africa, twice as many as the decade earlier.
This shows a changing trend of stability in Africa. Also, this raises a question that is; how effective are peacekeeping and stability operations in Africa?
