Critically evaluate biochemistry research presentations in the context of what you have learned in CHEM 3500

Objective: To critically evaluate biochemistry research presentations in the context of what you have learned in CHEM 3500.

Assignment: You will need to attend 3 biochemistry posters or oral presentations at a local, regional or national research meeting or talks on-line at iBiology (https://www.ibiology.org/research-talks/biochemistry/). You will need to provide evidence in the form of a selfie with the poster and/or the presenter for each you describe.

At least 1 of the presentations must be an oral presentation and the other two can be oral, poster, or talks on-line. You cannot do three iBiology talks. In the 1 page summary for each presentation you will need to answer the following questions:

1) Provide the name of the presentation, authors, institutional affiliations, and your selfie.

2) Provide a 100-150 word summary of the research.

3) Using the figure rubric from your modeling projects assess one of their figures. Provide justification for each of your scores on the rubric.

4) Based on what you have learned in CHEM 3500 why would you categorize this presentation as being biochemistry?

5) How has this presentation furthered your current understanding of biochemistry?

6) Provide 3 questions you still have after this presentation.
Report Grading Rubric: This grading scheme will follow specifications grading. This means that the requirement needs to be complete. If you have anything missing, you will not get the point.

There are 12 criteria that should be met for each of the 3 presentations for a total of 36 total criteria for the project. Your grade will be the percentage determined by dividing your grade by 36 and multiplying by 100.
