Exercise 10.6 – Write a Complete News Release
Prepare a planning sheet and then write a news release for one of the scenarios below.
In the release, include the major elements: summary lead, benefit statement and action statement (the news brief), along with secondary details and background as needed (altogether, the complete news release).
Begin with the set of facts provided below. Research the topic online. Use your instructor or another student as the information source for your client, and obtain from him or her any additional information you need for the release. Include at least one quote.
