You are required to read “The U.S. Institutional setting” from the text.

You MUST address ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
Identify and define the various types of hospital Classifications that are used.
Describe the different operating characteristics of for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals.
From your reading what is your position on the question of “whether the profit motive in hospitals generates a negative impact on the quality and access of care for the poor and uninsured?
That is, do hospitals make decisions primarily to maximize profit, or do hospitals make decisions primarily to deliver the best quality care to their patients?
