Choice 2: Compare and Contrast the legal Rights of women in the United States and Europe during the 1800s and 1900s
Guiding Questions: What rights, if any, did women have in divorce proceedings? What percentage of men and women were awarded custody of children? How did Enlightenment thinkers legal Rights , politicians, state government perceive and/or treat women? Did any women support “submission” to men? How did women fight for more rights?
The purpose of the guiding questions is to give you some examples of the topics you can discuss in your paper. Guiding questions do not have to be answered within your paper and guiding questions do not cover all of the issues you can discuss in your paper.
