a. An introductory paragraph that outlines the aim of the assignment.
b. A definition of the concept failure to rescue.
c. A discussion of the incidence & prevalence of adverse events that are linked to failure to rescue in the Australian acute healthcare environment.
Example and Explanation: Discuss adverse events in general for that section – you won’t have the word count to list the adverse events, simply identify the incidence and prevalence of adverse events, and the only specific one that you want to be mentioning is Failure to Rescue, as that’s the focus of the essay.
d. An analysis and evaluation of the consequences of failure to rescue for the patient; the patient’s family; and the health care system.
