1. Write your own traditional tale. You can also rewrite one of your favorite tales, or create their own. Be sure to include elements of your own culture in the story to make it unique.
2. Reflect on your reading life, and write a 2-page essay that represents this life.
As you write this paper, think back to your early reading experiences, and your process for learning how to read and write. You should incorporate significant texts, places, and people associated with these experiences.
You may be as creative as you wish, but remember that this is an essay and it will be graded on good organization, content, language conventions, and correctness.
