Students will evaluate the external validity for the article “Examining the Effectiveness of Solution-Focused
Brief Therapy: A Meta-Analysis.” This article is included in my file’s name (Article2) This provides much information on the definition of external validity as well as its application. As discussed in class, the following table would be very helpful in organizing student papers on external validity (see Table 1). Remember that Tables follow reference pages in APA format.
In the body of the paper, identify and discuss the issues germane to the article. Refer to the table, but use the text to argue why the identified issues are valid threats to the generalizability of the results of the study. Students should use the items listed in the table above as headers for their external validity papers. The paper should be in Times New Roman, 12 point font and adhere to APA 7th Ed. guidelines. No abstract is needed. The paper should be 2-4 pages in length.
