Instructions for Assignment:
1. First: you must find a primary document about an historical topic that interests you and attach a copy of the document to the completed paper.
2. After you find the Primary document of interest, you must WRITE a 3-page paper (typed and double spaced) answering the following 6 questions:
• Briefly describe the source: what does it say?
• Is this a published or unpublished primary source? Discuss how you found this source and why it is significant.
• Who wrote it or created it? If we do not know, why not?
• When was it written or created? If we do not know, why not?
• What was the main purpose of the document or artifact? (You may have to make a conjecture)
• In what ways does the document shed light on the following aspects of society? Which aspect does the document shed the most light on?
• Political
• Military
• Economic
• Religious
• Social
** when answering the 6th bullet question right above, you must answer all of the aspects which are Political, Military, Economic, Religious, and Social**
