Assessment details
The assessment will take the format of a reflective journal which will culminate in a 2 500-word reflection with compulsory appendices (2 500 /3 = words per activity area)
This reflection will consider the use of pedagogical principles, inclusive practice during students’ delivery and development of students understanding of the technical/coaching points over the course of the module.
The submission will be supported by the appendices including all 6 lesson plans ( 2 from each activity area ) and 6 reflective evaluations for each practical seminar that you have delivered in the activity areas you have studied ( if you do not deliver you cannot reflect ) The appendices carry the following marks:
Six Lesson Plans (worth up to 2%) =12% Six reflective evaluation each worth up to 2 %) =12% Attendance is linked to the assessment. Attendance at each of the six tutor led sessions (x2 aquatics x2 athletics x2 gymnastics) =12 % Assessment Title:
The title of the reflective report is as follows: ‘With reference to appropriate literature, discuss how your understanding of technique, pedagogy and inclusive practice has developed across the three activity areas studied.
Use experiential learning examples from within the module to contextualise your answer.’
